Sheriff’s Shoot-Off
Special Message to High Sheriff Lott from Sheriff Mark Richardson - at the end of the match on October 24th in Anderson …”there will be a new Sheriff in town!” Bring your “A” game, Sheriff Lott…
The Deuling Tree has arrived! The Sheriffs are signing up fast, folks. This is going to be quite an event!! If you want to see how this target system works, go to http://www.actiontarget.com/law_pt_dueling_tree.html and check out the video. Rod Pagan of Management Recruiters of Anderson dug into his own pocket to provide this target system for us. The Shoot off will take place after the afternoon session is completed…around 5:00 or so. I encourage all of you to hang around and watch the High Sheriffs go toe to toe against each other!!
Better than the OK Corral! This year’s Thin Blue Line will feature the first Sheriff’s Shoot-Off! This event is sponsored by Management Recruiters of Anderson. We have invited several sheriff’s to compete in a mano-a-mano pistol shoot-off - and many have taken us up on the invite! These guys, despite their high positions and awesome responsibilities, have agreed to take the time to come to Anderson, roll up their sleeves, dig in and blast away for their departments and for your charities.
Here is the drill: all steel, 6 targets…at the buzzer the shooter will begin from the outside and shoot his way to the center. His center target will be a steel popper. The shooter whose popper is on the bottom wins the string. Contest will be double elimination and shooter will have to hose his targets while the crowd is cheering, or jeering, him on!
Smith & Wesson has donated an M&P in the caliber of the winner’s choice to the contest champion! Thanks S&W for donating the gun and thanks Management Recruiters of Anderson for sponsoring the match…and good luck Sheriff’s!
